Mike Young Motorsport confirms 2013 APRC

20-year old Michael Young with Australian co-driver Daniel Willson will enter the 2013 Asia Pacific Rally Championship Junior Cup, and pending funding have added the Asia 2WD Cup to include the new Thailand Rally.

Young showed plenty of potential in 2012, winning the Junior class in New Zealand and the 2WD/Junior class in Australia, but quickly went from 'hero to zero' with two big crashes in Malaysia and Japan.

"It was certainly a tough lesson to learn, but I know that experience will make me a better driver and I'm really looking forward to this year. We've teamed up with Cusco Racing Japan again, who have been really supportive throughout my career and we've got a brand new car for this season. The APRC is a real challenge as all the events have very different surfaces, climates and cultures. New Zealand and Australia are running two months later than last year, so no doubt will be cooler and possibly wetter".

"Malaysia will be hot, humid and slippery for sure while Hokkaido is different again being really fast but the surface soft. Thailand will be all new, but the same for everyone".
